For academic purpose, student will need to obtain an F- class USA student visa. This visa cover student planning to pursue full-time degree programs at either the undergraduate or graduate level.

F-1 Student Visa

Step 1

SEVIS fee and I-20 form collection

Once you pay the SEVIS fee, you are given an I-20 form from your new school or college. Duly fill the form and bring along for your F-1 interview.

Step 2

VISA fee and form collection

Pay your visa fee at the designated bank and collect the visa form. Duly fill the form and bring along for your interview.

Step 3

VISA interview

Schedule a visa interview with the US embassy in your country. The waiting time may vary depending on the visa type. Once you complete the interview successfully, you’ll receive your visa 120 days in advance.

MRV Fee – $160

Petition Based Applicants (H, L, O, P, Q, R) – $190

E-1, E-2 & E-3 visa applicants – $205

You need to keep one thing in that the visa fee is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your appointment or if your visa application is rejected.

In addition to US visa application fees, you could also be asked to pay US visa issuance fees. Visa issuance fees are determined by the relationship that the US has with your home country. It takes from 3 to 5 weeks for a US visa application to get processed. After the processing, the applicant can get a positive reply on their application, and the consulate will deliver the document. The delivery of the visa can take up to two other workdays.
