No matter how long you’re in Australia, you need to make the most of it. That means making your way through as many of these ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences as possible.

Sydney Harbour Bridge

The largest steel arch bridge in the world, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is an iconic landmark spanning one of the finest natural harbors known to mankind. Opened in 1932, the bridge is fondly nicknamed the Coat hanger by Sydneysiders. You can walk and cycle across the bridge or climb to the top for stunning views.

Drive on the Great Ocean Road

One of Australia's most scenic drives, the Great Ocean Road is a magnificent three-day self-drive touring route from surf capital Torquay to the famous 12 Apostles, ending at historic fishing village Port Fairy.

The Great Ocean Road starts at Torquay and travels 243 kilometers westward to finish at Allansford near Warrnambool, the largest city along the road.

February-March or October-November are the best times to visit Great Ocean Road. Outside of the peak tourist season, but still bringing warm weather and relatively dry days, these months offer off-peak prices and thinning crowds.

The name is a giveaway when it comes to what’s in store for you here. Kangaroo Island is just off the coast of Adelaide and is the perfect place to see real-life roos as they hop about their natural habitat. Lucky visitors will catch a glimpse of a koala too.

The Great Barrier Reef, off the coast of Q arrier Reef Cruiseueensland in northeastern Australia, is the largest living thing on Earth. It is even visible from outer space. The 2,300km-long ecosystem comprises thousands of reefs and hundreds of islands made of over 600 types of hard and soft coral. It’s home to countless species of colorful fish, mollusks and starfish, plus turtles, dolphins, and sharks.

I got to witness a baby shark, got to pet some sea animals. It was definitely the biggest reef I’ve ever been to!

Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts center at Sydney Harbour in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings.

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most-photographed buildings in the world, known for its unique use of a series of gleaming white sail-shaped shells as its roof structure. The iconic performing arts facility in Sydney's best-known landmark.

Its Construction was expected to take four years. It took 14 years. Work commenced in 1959 and involved 10,000 construction workers. Paul Robeson was the first person to perform at the Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House cost was AU$42 (about $30) for adults and AU$22 (around $15) for children. Family tickets, which include two adults and two children, cost AU$105 (about $70), and discounted tickets are offered for seniors and students 16 and older.
